This protective hood is made from Tyvek 500 fabric which repels water-based liquids and aerosols, but remains permeable to air and water vapour to make it breathable and comfortable to wear. Tyvek is also treated to be antistatic and very low-linting to prevent contamination of sensitive processes or workplaces. The hood has an attached protective flange and features an elasticated face and neck to ensure that the hood fits well and moves along with the wearer.
