Reduction in Pain Levels

Great Yarmouth and Waveney NHS carried out a 12-week study using the FLX programme to assess its effectiveness in treating patients with a range of musculoskeletal conditions.

The results were impressive, with an 80% reduction in numbers of people suffering severe pain, fewer in a moderate level of pain and 50% with no pain.

  • More patients in lower pain categories
  • Fewer in higher pain categories
  • 50% more patients with ‘No Pain’ after 12 weeks
  • 80% reduction in patients with 'Severe Pain'

An Alternative to Drug Therapy

Many patients suffering low grade muscle pain found the app beneficial. It empowered them with an alternative way to relieve pain and muscular discomfort than drug therapy.

Easy to Learn

The participants needed very little coordination or skill to pick up the exercises. The low intensity nature of the exercises meant no special exercise equipment or clothing was needed and they could be completed in everyday settings.

“FLX will perform well on any service trial and scrutiny related to Clinical Commissioning Group outcomes. It proved very cost effective on the return from initial costs of implementation.” - Physical Activity Coordinator for Great Yarmouth and Waveney NHS
