The Railmat is a specially designed absorbent mat manufactured from sustainable and recycled materials that fits between railway lines to absorb oil- and petroleum-based fluids. It has an impermeable base to prevent fluids passing through to the ballast and is hydrophobic to allow rainwater to run off. It’s ideal for areas such as refuelling sites, locomotive traction depots, rolling stock yards and other areas where there is a danger of hazardous liquids spilling onto the ground.
