Our award-winning range has been developed for circularity - including life-extending features, responsibly sourced materials, certified production processes and a complete recycling solution at the end of the garment's lifecycle.

Garments are designed to conform to relevant safety standards for hi-visibility clothing - you can confidently invest in items that have been tested and certified to protect workers:

• EN ISO 20471. All items meet this standard - short sleeved garments are class 2 and long-sleeved class 3
• RIS-3279-TOM. All Orange garments are specified to for rail workers
• UKCA and CE certified
• EN343 4.4:* our outdoor products are certified to the latest and highest level of waterproofness and breathability

Designing for Longevity

Garments are designed with life-extending features. Workers can benefit from the improved longevity of the garment and cost per wear.

• Extended washability: garments are tested to retain integrity, dimensional stability, UPF protection and colourfastness to above the average number of washes. Knitwear and trousers are to 50 washes, outdoor clothing and vest to 25 washes**
• Odegon odour patch*: inserted underneath the arm to neutralise odour, so garment remains odour free for the life of garment giving the product life-long freshness

Sourcing Responsible Materials and Producing Ethically

The Arco Responsible hi-vis range is sourced and manufactured using ethically sourced materials and certified production processes, allowing you to make responsible choices for the planet:

• Made from certified recycled and responsibly sourced materials: Using 100% GRS-Certified polyester
• Manufactured by factories using certified methods: Produced by GRS-certified manufacturers*** (materials, fabric and manufacture are 100% certified) each garment contains a control union (CU) number

Specifying for Recyclability

Garments in the range have been designed and produced using materials and methods that make them fully recyclable. You can be confident that the whole garment can be re-used or recycled at the end of its useful life

• Whole garment can be recycled: Via a chemical process being developed by Stuff4Life and made into high value raw materials that can be woven back into polyester yarn and made into new products
• Recyclable polyester components: All poppers, toggles, zips, ribs, cuffs, neckbands and collars are 100% recyclable, and do not need to be removed before being put into the recycling process
• Heat applied printed reflective tape: can be put into a recycling process without being removed first ****
• Printed labels: no additional labelling is added into this product, so actively reducing components and enhancing the recyclability of our products

Arco Responsible hi-vis has a contemporary look and feel that's suitable for all seasons, weathers and temperatures:

• Slimmer cut garments to create a more contemporary silhouette
• Smaller braces to allow for logo placement to the front and back of garment whilst retaining conformity with relevant standards
• Practical design features such as tablet pockets, detachable hood, ID holder
• Built in upv protection* in garments that would be worn in sunnier weather, such as polo shirts with built-in upv protection that will help keep the wearer protected from UV rays
• Wicking polyester*: wicks sweat and moisture away from the skin to keep wearer dry and cool in warm conditions and warm in the cold
• Interactive garments*; Outdoor clothing items such as fleeces, softshells and outer jackets are interactive and can be used to create an effective layering system enabling the wearer to manage their layers in changing temperatures

The Arco Responsible clothing range was named 'Recycled Product of the Year' at the 2023 MRW National Recycling Awards, recognising the innovative range we have created to tackle excessive waste in a niche and difficult to recycle segment of the clothing industry.
